Robert W. O'Connor

O’CONNOR, Robert W., 81, of Cranston, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Elmhurst Rehabilitation Healthcare Center in Providence.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Margaret L. (Heffernan) O’Connor.  He resided in Cranston for many years.

Mr. O’Connor was a cook at Brown University for 23 years before retiring.  He was a communicant of St. Matthew Church, an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, music and reading.

He is survived by a cousin, Cheryl D’Itri of Cranston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Matthew Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston.  Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.   Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society, RI Chapter, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Ste. 3004, Warwick, RI 02886 or Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in his memory would be appreciated. www.galloglyfuneralhome.com
