Maria Z. (Lima) Bento

BENTO, Maria Z., (Lima), 81, of Pepin Street, West Warwick, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

She was the beloved wife of Jose V. Bento, they had been married for sixty-one years.  Born in Aguas Santas, Portugal, a daughter of the late Armindo and Irene (Monteiro) Lima.  She was a resident of West Warwick for many years.

Mrs. Bento was a faithful communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of Uniao Portuguesa Beneficente Club in Pawtucket.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved to travel and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and needlepoint.

Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Joseph C. Bento of Coventry and Paul J. Bento and his wife Deborah of Richmond and three grandchildren, Joseph P. Bento and his wife Lisa S. Bento, Natasha M. Bento and Ian G. Bento.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society, RI Chapter, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886 in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit: ww.PrataGallogly.com
