Ronald St. Jean Obituary

St. Jean, Ronald G., 77, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of West Greenwich, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Marguerite (Murphy) St. Jean, they had been married for fifty five years.  Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Joseph “Willie” and Marie Lillia (Lussier) St. Jean.  He resided in West Greenwich for many years before moving to Florida in 2005.

Mr. St. Jean was a self-employed masonry contractor for forty years before retiring in 2005.  He served with the Unites States Coast Guard from 1959-1963, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Besides his wife he leaves four children, Ronald G. St. Jean, Jr. and his wife Jeannine of Coventry, Michael J. St. Jean and his wife Kim of Jacksonville, Florida, Joseph W. St. Jean and his wife Carol of Coventry and Kristin M. Codman and her husband Jeffrey of Coventry; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Roger P. St. Jean.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in SS. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry.  Interment will be private.  Visiting hours Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to VNA Care New England Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 in his memory would be appreciated.
