Susan J. (Caldamone) Rossi

ROSSI, Susan J. (Caldamone), 96, of Woodland Drive, West Warwick, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Brentwood Nursing Home, Warwick.

She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Rossi who passed away in 2011.  A lifelong resident of West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Carmina (DiSalvo) Caldamone.

Mrs. Rossi was employed in the jewelry industry for many years before retiring from Armburst Chain.  She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed volunteering with the Italian Heritage Committee.  She loved puzzles, knitting and quilting.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra J. Rossi with whom she lived and many nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Anthony “Sonny”, Louis, John, Ralph, Joseph, Carmine, Petrina “Peggy” Caldamone, Henrietta Pucella, Caterina “Carey” Day-Maddelena, Mary Mercurio, Michalina “Mickey” Simone, Elisa “Lisa” Phillips, Elvira “Vera” Villa and Anna Gamba.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 in her memory would be appreciated.
