Edward J. Vinacco

VINACCO, Edward J., 70, of Warwick, passed away Saturday evening, March 21, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

He was the beloved husband of Djelcia M. “Jel” (Furtado) Vinacco, and they had been married for twenty years.  Previously, he was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Isherwood) Vinacco.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Louis and Elizabeth A. (Berry) Vinacco.  He resided in Warwick for the past twenty years.

Eddie was a truck driver with Hudson Liquid Asphalt and D’Ambra Construction Company for over thirty years before retiring in 2018, where he was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 251.  He was an enthusiastic gourmet cook and baker who enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends.  Eddie loved meeting people, making you laugh, and when you walked away, he was your friend.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Edward J. Vinacco and his wife Susan of Cranston; a daughter, Christine D. Giamei and her husband Mario of Sutton, MA; three step-children, Brian Silva of Warwick, Jason Silva and his wife Beth of East Providence and Stephanie Silva of Cranston; six grandchildren, Mario, Nicholas, Corina, Brittney, Lindsey, and Michael; and four siblings, Robert Vinacco and his wife Jeanne of The Villages, FL; David Vinacco of Cranston; Donald Vinacco and his wife Gail of East Greenwich; and Paul Vinacco and his wife Jeanne of North Kingstown.  He was the brother of the late Louis D. Vinacco.
