Evelyn McKanna Obituary

McKANNA, Evelyn A. (Thomas), 96, of West Warwick, passed away Thursday evening, May 14, 2020 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late J. Ross McKanna. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Grace) Thomas. She was a resident of West Warwick for many years.

Mrs. McKanna, when younger, was a teletype operator with Western Union. She was a communicant of Christ the King Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Mildred R. Carlson of West Warwick and Lydia Stockwell of Burrillville and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edith Thomas, Elmer Thomas, Amelia Twinning and Norma Whelan.

Private family funeral services will be held with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Narragansett Council Boy Scouts of America, P.O.
