Sara E. (Sinnott) Beattie, 87, of Coventry passed away in her home surrounded by family on Saturday, August 8, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Martin J. Sinnott, Jr. and Anna R. (Carville) Sinnott.
She loved her daily chats on the phone with family and friends and shopping. Her most cherished moments were time spent with her family. Six Lakes Country Club in N. Fort Myers, FL. was her winter home where she enjoyed water aerobics, sitting at the pool, attending special shows and events at the clubhouse and shopping. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the DAR and the Women’s Sodality at SS. Peter & Paul, West Warwick, RI. Sara was a proud member of the Sinnott family and their history as well as her Irish heritage.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond E. Beattie; her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Kevin Smith; her grandchildren, Sarah, Giovanni and Catherine Calapai; her great grandchildren, Gabriella, Natalia and Siena Calapai. Her stepchildren, Raymond E. Beattie, Jr. and wife, Karen; Carolyn A. (Beattie) Lamothe and husband, Brian. Her step grandchildren, Michelle and Kyle Beattie, David and Kerri Lamothe. She is also survived by her brother James T. Sinnott and wife, Mary; and sister, Margaret R. Alves and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her sister, Ann R. Sinnott and brothers, Martin J. Sinnott, III and John C. Sinnott.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 10:00 am in SS. Peter & Paul Church, 48 Highland Street, West Warwick. (RI COVID Guidance: please wear face coverings and observe social distance). Interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
