Therese M. (Hebert) Coutu

COUTU, Therese M. (Hebert), 86, formerly of West Warwick Avenue, West Warwick, passed away Wednesday morning, February 19, 2020 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry.

She was the beloved wife of the late Royal R. Coutu.  Born in Coventry, a daughter of the late Alfred and Marie (Messier) Hebert.  She was a resident of West Warwick for most of her life.

Mrs. Coutu was a sales clerk at Wal-Mart in Coventry for fourteen years until retiring in 2010.  Previously she was employed at Heritage Village in North Kingstown.  She was a communicant of Christ the King Church where she was an active volunteer for many years and an avid New York Yankees and Boston Celtics fan.

She is survived by a son, Robert P. Coutu of Coventry; two daughters, Paulette Macfarlane of West Warwick and Ann Marie Shea of West Warwick; three siblings, Alfred Hebert, Jr., Pete Hebert and Delores DelMastro; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Legris Ave., West Warwick.  Interment will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
