Elizabeth A. (Welshman) Kenahan

KENAHAN, Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Welshman), 86, of East Providence, passed away at home Tuesday morning, Aug. 16, 2016.

She was the beloved wife of David A. Kenahan, they had been married for 63 years.  Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Laura L. (McMahon) Welshman.  She was a lifelong resident of East Providence.

Mrs. Kenahan loved listening to Talk Radio, doing word search puzzles and most of all being a homemaker and taking care of her family.

Besides her husband she leaves her children, Peter W. Kenahan, Charles M. Kenahan, Anne M. Karmon, Arthur A. Kenahan and Elizabeth A. “Liz” O’Connor and her husband Mark; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late David A. Kenahan, Jr. and Mary E. Kenahan and sister of the late Barbara Norato, Charles and Donald Welshman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 at 10:00 am in St. Martha Church, Pawtucket Ave., East Providence.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.  In Lieu of flowers contributions to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 in her memory would be appreciated.
